Normally we wouldn’t tell you what to do with any part of your lifestyle, but if you’re into bikes, then you should save up now and get this, Period.
Names such as Ducati and Harley Davidson always find a way into a conversation when it revolves around a two wheeler, but, it’s often the small independent bike builders who make the stuff dreams are made of. Case in point, the Octivia by Hyde Designs. Based out of Cape Town, South Africa, this shop has produced what could be the best bike build of the year, and with only a small number of hands in its construction.
Six months in the making, the Octivia is based on the iconic BMW G650 X Challenge and chosen for its reliable 650 Rotax engine, beautiful open swingarm and reliable structural frame.
Jet black from headlight to the rear wheel, it sports some rather impressive features you’d be hard-pressed to find on any other G650 X.
The tank has a custom steel design and the tail is made from fiberglass with an epoxy lens. Outfitted with Jaco Stealth Pipes on the exhaust, it also has a SpeedHut USA speedometer, original Gerhard RaceBox front forks, 18″ front and 17″ Suzuki tires, a single piece foam core seat and leather work by Leatherman D.
So it’s safe to say it won’t be around long. — Drop an inquiry here ($13, 200USD).
