Vierra Watches Set To Power Up Its Kickstarter Campaign
Minimalist & Refined

Watch enthusiasts and college buddies Eric Genazia and Jeremy Wells, dissatisfied with their inability to find a durable, functional and stylish watch, are now bringing their own vision to life next week with the launch of their company’s Kickstarter campaign. Genazia’s enthusiasm for watches from a young age only spurred his desire to build a better timepiece, and it’s fitting that the active lifestyle watch brand hangs its hat on the motto “Do what excites you.”
“Stylish watches were often not built to handle the outdoors, while … durable watches were too clunky to wear in dressier settings,” the brand said in a press release. “By realizing this gap in the market, they set out to produce watches that were waterproof, tough enough for the outdoors and still fitting for those dressy occasions.”
And for those looking for a new affordable watch, it’s worth paying attention simply based on price alone, not to mention the unique product specs each timepiece brings to the table. Set to begin funding next Monday, November 16th, Vierra says its watches combine top-notch features, like a custom Miyota Japanese quartz movement, 330 feet of water resistance and surgical grade stainless steel, with the style and looks needed for the boardroom.
Each timepiece normally retails for $125, but the pre-funding campaign will allow those who move quickly to pick one up for just $59 (a note that you’ll have to enter your email to be notified of the launch). Once the watches are funded (no word yet on a formal funding goal), the company expects to ship them out around February or March 2016.
The wait should definitely be worth the while for discerning customers. Four band options give those interested in funding it several choices as to the look of their watch. Black or brown leather straps are available for pre-purchase, in addition to a black silicone and a silver stainless steel option. The brand’s logo also doesn’t take away from each watch, thankfully. In addition to those thought-out design details, Vierra also puts a lot of stock into what’s going on your wrist– the timepieces are guaranteed for life.
Sapphire crystal glass and a 42-mm caseback are yet two additional features that should hit the sweet spot for those looking for a watch that’s durable but not overly gaudy. Watches like these, especially the stainless steel number, provide a great mix of versatility and several styling options.
A stainless steel dive watch, for example, is rugged and durable enough to be worn with a great leather jacket and a rugged henley, but you can also throw on a sharp blazer and slim chinos and be perfectly set. With the amount of durable and stylish appeal Vierra is promising with its watches, it’d be a wise — and inexpensive — investment to make.
