Fall style is all about high-low versatility.  Namely, the ability to take items that you might wear casually and dress them up (or down) in equal parts. Add in some functionality and a classic, rugged appeal and you’ve got yourself a winning combo. The latest collab drop from the great minds behind Tanner Goods and P.F. Flyers has something for everyone, from sneakerheads to fans of quality craftsmanship.

The two brands have teamed up on what’s sure to be an instant hot-seller, an updated version of the classic P.F. Flyers Center Hi. Crafted from a beautiful shade of full-grain Indigo Legacy Horween leather sourced right here in the United States, it’s the perfect merger of craftsmanship and retro, sport-inspired style. Crisp touches like flat wax laces are something you’re more likely to find on a boot, too. It’s but one touch that adds some nice durability to a sneaker that’ll offset cuffed denim for a monochromatic look.

And this is certainly one sneaker that can pull double duty under slim chinos and perhaps wool trousers and a shawl cardigan for a high-low combo. The deep indigo color is eyecatching but not ostentatious, making it a great sneaker to try out with all sorts of ensembles. The price point is certainly premium ($240), but tough stitching, a sturdy sole and leather that’ll get better as it ages means that this is one pair of sneakers you’ll have for a long, long time.

The partnership between the two builds off P.F. Flyers’ penchant for teaming with the best brands in the business — the heritage footwear brand just released some equally fall-ready sneakers with Todd Snyder.

And the new collab also comes hot on the heels of another craftsmanship-focused product release, as Tanner Goods just partnered with Danner on the Mountain Pass Randolph boot, another update of a classic style. At the rate both P.F. Flyers and Tanner Goods are going, they’ll churn out enough great product to fill up your closet — starting with these sneakers.
