SubPac, the fully immersive audio technology, is shifting gears as French automotive giant Peugeot releases the industry’s first music-based concept car. An electric urban coupé, the Peugeot Fractal is characterized by its 80 percent 3D-printed interior and technology heavy drivers station, also known as the Peugeot i-Cockpit®. The car incorporates SubPac’s Tactile Bass technology into the back of each seat creating a visceral and high-fidelity driving experience. In addition to a smartwatch remote system and custom loudspeakers by FOCAL, the Peugeot Fractal’s external design alerts road users of its presence by different sounds specific to the vehicle’s acceleration, deceleration and cruising speed. The new concept will be be unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show.
