Beer isn’t the last but the first frontier you probably encountered once you hit the legal drinking age (or before), and you were triumphant. Your next obstacle might’ve been easing into a fine spirit (or figuring out how to mix the perfect cocktail), but you never forget what it’s like popping off the top of a cold one. Now, after all the experience you’ve gained over the years, you find yourself in a dilemma — finding a really good beer for the summer. It might not get as much praise as traditionally brewed beer’s, but flavored beer is on the rise, and we couldn’t think of a better one than Shock Top Lemon Shandy. After steeping and soaking together wheat and barley, malted grain is then ground to expose internal starches to natural enzymes. But what gives this beer its unique flavor is the addition of Coriander, spices and of course, orange, lemon and lime peels. The beer is then aged completing the fermentation process which finalizes its flavor, color and texture. The taste is absolutely refreshing to say the least, but don’t take our word for it — just pick up a bottle and see for yourself.
