The Arbor Collective was founded in 1995 and has stayed true to its pursuit of craftsmanship, commitment to the environment, and dedication to the good times that started it all. For Arbor, it’s been a non-stop journey into shape, material, art, and life lived in the pursuit of skateboarding and snowboarding; a direction defined by a two-decade long partnership with athletes and artists, who share Arbor’s vision for design.
This season they’ve teamed up with Kyler Martz, a Seattle based illustrator, muralist, and tattoo artist, who mixes nautical, old-world, and organic themes to create unique icons from our storied past. His artwork is currently featured on Arbor’s “GT Artist-Series” skateboards, and he’s also designed this summer’s Whiskey Project street skate release, a new Arbor Snowboards series dropping for the 2015 season, as well as a range of Arbor Brand graphic tees to come.
In the video below, see Kyler Martz in his element, as he talks about influences from his life, and the world around him. Learn about his endeavors and the process that leads to what we feel is some of the most interesting art coming out of the Northwest today.
