Three Bourbon’s You Should Always Have In The Home Bar

Three Bourbon’s You Should Always Have In The Home Bar

Bourbon Main

If there’s anything more American than Apple Pie, it’s Bourbon — the go to spirit for the bearded man who just got off a hard day’s work, or the guy who is in need of a pick-me-up after a harsh let down. Moreover, Bourbon’s allure is more than just a draw to the taste-buds, it’s more like a right of passage to the uninitiated. And for those who’ve already been inducted into the selective league of extraordinary gentlemen, we don’t need to tell you the gratification that comes with understanding why Bourbon — of all the dark spirits — is so revered.

That said, if your home bar isn’t already filled to the top with copious amounts of whiskey, and you’ve got room to spare, here’s three labels you definitely must have. Trust us, after you’ve taking a sip of these three, you’ll thank us later.

1792 Ridgemont Reserve Barrel Select Kentucky Straight

20121227-134320

Made from a signature “high rye” recipe and the marriage of select barrels carefully chosen by a Master Distiller, 1792 Bourbon has an expressive and elegant flavor profile. Unmistakable spice mingles with sweet caramel and vanilla to create a bourbon that is incomparably brash and bold, yet smooth and balanced. Elevating whiskey to exceptional new heights, 1792 Bourbon is celebrated by connoisseurs worldwide.

Knob Creek Kentucky Straight Small Batch

Knob_Creek_Whiskey-1024x682

Undoubtedly one of the most popular Bourbon’s on the market today, Knob Creek is crafted in limited quantities, aged 9 years and placed in only the deepest charred American Oak barrels to fully draw out the natural sugars. It is then bottled at an honest 100 proof to reflect the flavor, strength and patience that defined pre-prohibition whiskey. If the above 1792 doesn’t have enough kick or that slow deep yet smooth burn you’re looking for, this Kentucky Straight will do the trick.

Barrell – Barrel Strength Craft Distilled

Another small batch crafted Bourbon, Barrel has four distinct offerings ranging from an 001 batch to an 004. So what makes this so unique, well try the luxurious mash up of 70% corn, 25% rye, and 5% malted barley. Distilled in Tennessee, aged in Kentucky, and bottled at 121.6 proof, it is then aged for 5 years in charred white oak barrels. A complex bouquet of crushed toasted walnuts, honey vanilla and tangerine make this arguably the most sophisticated of the three, but also has the strongest depth.
