Ninety years ago, Montblanc created a writing instrument that became an icon in the culture of writing: the Montblanc Meisterstück. With functional and aesthetic design, an innovative ink supply and a manually profiled gold nib, this fountain pen is the legendary writing instrument of our time.
The grande complication of Montblanc‘s perpetual calendar is both highly demanding from a mechanical viewpoint and an expression of the utmost in the watchmaker’s art.
Unlike an ordinary “full calendar”, a perpetual calendar always shows the correct date and requires no manual adjustment, not even at the end of a month with fewer than 31 days and also not at the end of February in a leap year. It accordingly jumps directly from 30 June to 1 July and from 28 February to 1 March, except in a leap year, when it automatically shows 29 February.
Two of Hollywood’s most recognizable actors highlighted Montblanc’s renowned timepieces at this year’s SAG Awards.
Spotted on the Red Carpet, Actor Jim Parsons was wearing a Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Rising Hours in red gold and Montblanc Cufflinks. Actor Ty Burrell, was wearing a Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Perpetual Calendar in rose gold and Montblanc Cufflinks. Actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson was wearing The Montblanc Star Quantieme Complet and Montblanc Cufflinks “Grain d’Orge”.

The cambered silver-white dial has been tastefully embellished with a sunburst pattern. The elegant 39 mm case with its contemporary straight lines is accentuated by a horizontally drawn satin finish on the middle piece.
The caliber MB 29.15 can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back. The Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Perpetual Calendar is produced in-house in the Montblanc Manufacture and certified with the Montblanc 500 hours quality certificate.
